Ministries at Sojourn

SojoKids

We love SojoKids! (That’s what we call Kids Ministry at Sojourn). We provide a kids program for children aged 3 to grade 3. SojoKids starts just before the sermon begins (about 30 minutes after the service starts), so your child can participate in musical worship with your family and the rest of the congregation. Kids who join SojoKids will be invited to leave with their group leader just after the sermon ends (before communion).

There is a worksheet that is available for the kids to fill out during the service so that they can actively listen to the sermon. Don’t worry if your kids get fussy; we have a room adjacent to the sanctuary (the lounge) from which you can listen to the sermon, and your kids can play freely (or make noise). Of course, your kids are also welcome to stay with you in the sanctuary during the service. Note: We also love to have children in our services, and think that a little noise is better than silence!

Finally, we encourage parents to arrive a few minutes before the service to register their kids. We take seriously the safety of our little ones.

SojoYouth

Our youth ministry at Sojourn is a place for students in grades 4–12 to grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and engage more deeply with God’s Word. While we’re excitedly working toward launching a fuller SojoYouth program, we’re grateful for what God is already doing in this season.

Our youth are encouraged to fully participate in the worship service alongside the rest of the church. Each student receives a personal notebook and is invited to take notes during the sermon, helping them actively engage with God’s Word and grow in their understanding of Scripture.

Following the service (Bi-weekly), our youth gather for a short breakout time at the back of the sanctuary (about 15 minutes). During this time, they connect with one another and with trusted adult mentors, compare notes from the sermon, spend time in prayer, and build meaningful relationships.

We’re thankful for this growing community of young people and leaders, and we look forward with anticipation to what’s ahead.

Young Adults

Our young adults ministry at Sojourn is for those aged 18–30(ish), creating space for connection, community, and shared life in this unique season. Rather than a formal weekly program, we gather monthly in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

These gatherings are intentionally informal—often filled with game nights, good food, and plenty of time to build meaningful relationships. It’s a space to have fun, be known, and grow in friendship with others in a similar stage of life.

While we don’t have a separate young adults Bible study, our young adults are encouraged to participate in our church-wide small groups, staying connected to the broader church body while also enjoying dedicated time together as a community.

We’re thankful for this growing group and the ways they are building friendships and living out their faith together.
